Parish Ink loves south Louisiana and so should everyone else!
We've got a new T-Shirt business that we think you should like!
Monday, November 29, 2010 It's new and it's awesome! WORKagencies has finally decided to make all of the clever t-shirt ideas we've thrown around over the years! Each item Parish Ink creates is designed and printed in Lafayette, Louisiana using only Americal Apparel shirts, which are not only made in the USA, but are also the most amazingly comfortable and great-fitting shirts EVER. Seriously. Not only are we crazy about being locally produced, all of our stuff is about how cool south Louisiana is! It's layer upon layer of local business amazingness! There's only one way to cut a hamburger-shaped birthday cake
Only a monster bite-shaped slice will do!
Wednesday, November 9, 2010 What kind of cake do you get for a guy who likes meat? Well, it's no ukulele cake (see below to be mezmerized by Bram's cake to Jillian from a few years ago...he even broke into her house in the middle of the night to deliver it...creepy...), but Jillian's cake for Bram's 31st birthday this past Monday was right on the money. Although this baby was store-bought, which is generally against the rules of creativity, it was much too awesome to pass up. Side of fries with ketchup?! CHOMP! CHOMP! We've also been doing lots of WORK, too. We'll be posting some updates on that front once we emerge from our sugar comas.

Ukulele Cake, circa 2009 100% Custom - Made by Bram Note the Hershy Kiss tuners and Hershy Bar frets. Brilliant!

Bram bypasses the candles and goes straight for the fries. This photo was taken right before his beard caught on fire.

Can you even begin to handle how adorable this is?

Black Pot Festival releases Live CD!
And that ain't all...there's a cute little movie coming too!
Wednesday, October 27, 2010 Black Pot nears once again for its 5th year and to celebrate, the gang is releasing an audio CD with a whopping 18 songs performed live at the 2009 festival (click here for a sneak peek at the track list!) and a DVD with a short film about the festival and its humble beginnings. The film was shot at last year's festival and edited by Jake Ross of Migration Films and includes some footage from the 2007 festival shot by Zack Godshall and Colby Johnson. Jillian even makes a little appearance in the movie! WORK designed the packaging for both, working with some artwork we did previously for the festival. You can purchase the CD and DVD this weekend at the festival and they will be available for order on blackpotfestival.com very soon.

Johnson's make first family photos in nearly a decade
Unfortunately, we couldn't all fit in the photo booth...
Sunday, October 24, 2010 To conclude a delightful Johnson Family visit, the whole gang went bowling, and as it turns out, mom is kind of awesome at it. Bram palmed the lightest ball he could find and hurled it down the lanes. You could say he had some success with that. You'd be wrong of course. Dad worked on perfecting his "low and slow" method...He only got one strike in two games. Jillian ran somewhere in the middle of the pack, which probably would have bothered her if her shoes didn't look so fantastic with her argyle tights. Jason's team clobbered his daughter Paxton's team, putting him in top running for 2010 Father of the Year. Classic indeed.

Bonsoir site gets an update
Well, good evening to you, ladies...
Tuesday, September 28, 2010 We created a cute little logo and website for BonSoir Catin years ago and as web standards have progressed, the gals needed a little more screen space to stretch their legs. The new site is so radiant, it's practically GLOWING! See for yourself, and mark your calendars for an upcoming show! We'll be there!

Black Pot 2010 Poster
This year's festival poster is a little (tiny) bit country and kinda rock 'n' roll too.
Sunday, September 26, 2010 The 5th Annual Black Pot Festival & Cook-Off nears, and Jillian always enjoys the challenge of depicting the cast iron pot in a new and interesting way each year. This poster will be used for advertising and a larger 18"x24" limited signed and numbered edition will be available for sale at the festival and online. It's got lots and lots of colors so it's bound to match something in your house.
